Description:
Roughly square in cross-section. Upper side convex with a roughsurface bearing many tubercles. Underside flat, with many tube fSea Cucumbers orBeche-De-Mer are cylindrical, elongated or worm-like shape. Theyare found in a variety of colours ranging from pitch black to whiteand light yellow, and are generally designed to blend in with theirhabitat.

Quite variable. Typically dark yellow with irregular brownpatches. Some specimens are almost white or greenish. The tube feetare pink.
In turtle-grass beds, on sediment or silty sand bottoms in areaswhere terrigenous action occurs, at depths of up to 30 m. Averagedensity about 50 individuals per hectare.
